Computer God!!! BBS Online Space MMORPG Gaming web site. The next generation of online gaming. If you are new to the site welcome to the site and the new look. I have been running Computer God!!! BBS since the 1991. A lot of people have asked me if the name of the site is an ego trip or just a plain statement. And the truth is neither. I actually got the name for the BBS when I heard a song from Black Sabbath called "Computer God" This was during the Black Sabbath years when Ronnie James Dio was the vocalist. For those of you that follow the Black Sabbath history the band is now called Heaven and Hell. I fell in love with the lyrics and that is how the Computer God!!! BBS was born. I have run other software in the past such as Renegade, Shotgun, WWIV, Oblivian/2, Iniquity BBS and many others. The BBS is currently running
"Synchronet BBS Software v3.15" for it's SMTP, POP3, NNTP, Telnet, FTP, IRC, functions. I have recently switched the HTTP server to
"Apache" as the standard webserver and
MySQL as the database backend in order to get some webgame projects up and running.

As you can see the BBS has gone to a new game format featuring
Xerogame Alpha 1 and
XNova.
Xerogame Alpha 1 and
Xerogame Alpha 2 are
strategic space simulation games with
hundreds of players across the world competing with each other
simultaneously. All you need to play is a standard web browser. It is based on XNova 0.8e The web site offers 6 universes. Two of them are running Xerogame 0.9D and 4 of them run XNova 0.9c english translated version. Xerogame and XNova are multi user dungeon type space simulation games. Xerogame was translated from french to english and written by Xerofire from the original XNova 0.8e code. Both of these games are a knock off copy the original
Ogame. I am currently in the process of translating XNova 0.9c over to english. I am hoping to have the full english installation of XNova 0.9c ready for release by July of 2009. While Xerogame Alpha 1 and Xerogame Alpha 2 and XNova are just some of the games we are running. We have recently included and Dungeons and Dragons type of game called
Dark Knight.
I am currently looking for other php or cgi games to put up on the the site. While I will continue to run the system as a BBS system that does not change the fact that this is and will be a game site. It's one of the things that BBS systems were intended for.
